People in the Pleasant Valley School District are using a popular sport to support one of their own.

On Sunday, October 21st, 2012, 48 teams participated in a bags tournament for Crystal Neuhaus at Pleasant Valley High School.

Crystal is a kindergarten teacher at Riverdale Heights Elementary School. She was diagnosed with Leukemia last year.

Crystal's husband also works in the school district as a counselor and they have two kids who are students, so organizers say this event is also for them.

"We did elementary all through high school and adults, because that's where they're at," says Organizer Linda Moble. "She's an elementary teacher, so we have the elementary kids getting involved for her. We have high school kids for Tom and for Brock."

All the proceeds from the bags tournament will be donated to Crystal to help pay for her medical expenses.
