Students from across the Quad Cities distributed cereal, bread, canned goods, and more to people in need on Saturday, October 20th.

The mobile food pantry was held at Ericsson Elementary in Moline as part of the Student Hunger Drive, which is wrapping up at the end of the month.

"Normally, people bring in food to school and then they don't really know what happens with the food and today I learned that it's actually put to really good use and people who need it definitely get it," says Alaina Wallace, a student at Bettendorf High School.

WQAD is a proud sponsor of this year's Student Hunger Drive which has teamed up with the Riverbend Food Bank for the last 26 years.
