Sterling woman accused of identity theft to pay utilities

A 39-year-old woman is accused of stealing the identity of a senior citizen to get utility services in Sterling, Illinois.

Magan Fuller is charged with felony identity theft.  Police said she is suspected of giving a senior citizen’s personal information to receive local utility services.

Fuller was arrested during a traffic stop at 12th Avenue and Lynn Boulevard just after 3 p.m. Thursday, October 18, 2012 according to Sterling Police Sgt. Steven Hubbard.  

Online court records show Fuller, who also goes by Magan Kahly, was charged with three felony counts of identity theft reported in Rock Falls in April 2012.  That case is still open, with trial scheduled for November 13.

Fuller was held in the Whiteside County Jail.
