Surveillance video shows man accused of robbing Clinton shop

Police say they caught a man who allegedly robbed the Library Pawn Shop in Clinton, Iowa.

The robbery was reported just before 1 p.m. Thursday, October 18, 2012. 

The owner of the shop told police he was robbed at knife point.  Money and jewelry were taken.  

The suspect was described as an African American man in his twenties or thirties, wearing a dark-colored jacket or hoodie.  He was later identified as Darrell Lamar Thomas, 26, of chicago, Illinois.

Thomas was arrested in Davenport, Iowa just after 10 p.m. the day of the robbery.  He was charged with felony first-degree robbery.

No injuries were reported.
