Saturday’s storms did not stop hundreds of rowers from competing on the Mississippi River.
The Trinity Quad Cities Classic Regatta took place on Saturday, October 13th near the Sylvan Boathouse in Moline.
Organizers say high school, college, and adult rowers from 18 clubs and universities around the Midwest participated.
“This is our biggest year so far with 200 boats,” says Dale Howard, Regatta Chairman. “We had a great set up and we expect to grow bigger every year.”
Yesterday’s event was the 15th annual. Organizers say the rain delayed some races, but they were able to complete all 49 races scheduled.
