The Family Museum in Bettendorf is hosting a new rivers and bridges exhibit and it opens to the public on Saturday.

The exhibit features a 28-foot-long waterplay table and structures designed to resemble the government, Interstate 74 and Centennial bridges.

It's the first of three phases in a $1.2 million exhibit renovation project.

It's the first renovation since 1997.

Museum members will get a sneak peak of the new exhibit during a special event from 5:30-7 p.m. Friday.
