On Thursday, October 11, a large section of Davenport was without power.

Around one thousand MidAmerican customers south of W. 32nd Street lost power around 10am today.

MidAmerican says an animal made contact with their equipment that caused the outage. While making that repair, workers discovered a vehicle had hit different equipment in the same area. Workers then had to make those repairs.

Parts of Saint Ambrose also experienced power lost; several students were trapped in an elevator in Cosgrave hall for a short time.
