Man arrested in connection with Rock Island robbery

Rock Island Police arrested a man in connection with a robbery that happened on last week.

George Lee Humphrey was arrested Tuesday night in connection with the October 4th robbery at the Gemini Food Mart, 3000 46th Ave in Rock Island.

According to a Rock Island Police Department news release, a man entered the store, took an undisclosed amount of money from the cash drawer and fled in a vehicle.  No weapon was displayed during the robbery and no one was hurt. 

An arrest warrant was issued earlier Tuesday for Mr. Humphrey. Humphrey was held at the Rock Island Jail Tuesday night.
