Heroin investigation leads to 2 arrests

An investigation into a local heroin distributor led authorities to 2 arrests.

Several law enforcement agencies including The Quad City Metropolitan Enforcement Group, the Moline CCU Unit, Rock Island EST unit, East Moline Street Crimes and the Federal Gang Task Force executed simultaneous search warrants at 4912 7th St. in Moline and at 438 19th Street in East Moline.

This case culminated with the arrest of Jamie L. Phillips of Carbon Cliff and Phillip A. Hartshorn of Moline.

Phillips was charged with 1 count of Possession of a controlled Substance and 7 counts of Possession with the Intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance.

Hartshorn was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance.

According to the press release, more arrests are imminent.
