Three hurt in head-on crash

A head-on crash in Henry County has sent both drivers to the hospital.

It happened on Thursday, October 4. Henry County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a two car, head-on crash that occurred on Route 78, just north of Kewanee.

A car driven by Barbara Leckey, 61, of Kewanee was southbound when she collided with a car going northbound driven by Angela Lange, 18, of Annawan.

The accident remains under investigation by the Henry County sheriff’s Office. Police have not released any details on the crash.

Leckey was transported to Kewanee hospital and later transferred to OSF Peoria, by Life Flight. Lange was transported to Kewanee Hospital and later transported to OSF Peoria by ambulance. Lange’s vehicle was also occupied by 15 year-old Roland Aman of Kewanee. Aman was transported to Kewanee Hospital and treated.
