Davenport Police are investigating a shooting that happen early Monday morning

Davenport Police are investigating a shooting that happen early Monday morning.

According to the police report, Brittany Hamilton of Davenport walked into the Flying J Truck Stop Monday morning and told two Scott County Deputies who were already there, that she was shot.

It happened around 4am. Hamilton told police that she and a male acquaintance identified as Brian Williams, had been taken from their shared residence in Davenport to an undisclosed location.  At that point, the suspects demanded money and then shot Hamilton. Hamilton was then left there while the suspects left with Williams.

Hamilton received medical assistance and her gunshot wound appeared to be non-life threatening.

Mr. Williams was found walking in the 2800 block of W 58th St with no apparent injuries.

Scott County Sheriff's Department and Davenport Police Department are working together in this investigation.
