The Special Olympics Illinois Bowling Competition took place in the Quad Cities today.

On Sunday, October 7th, more than 300 participants from seven counties in Western Illinois competed in the tournament at Highland Park Bowl in Moline.

"Bowling is one event that everybody can be successful at no matter what their level of abilities," says Cathy Betar, Area Director of Special Olympics Illinois.

It didn't matter if you bowled a perfect game or were stuck in the single digits, everyone went home with an award. The first place winners go onto Sectionals, which take place next month in Galesburg.
