The halls of the Clarion Hotel in Davenport turned into a catwalk on Saturday, October 6th.

175 clowns participated in the "paradeability" competition, which tests how entertaining a clown is during parades.

The clowns come from all across the Midwest. They spent the week in the Quad Cities for the 39th annual Midwest Clown Convention.

"We like to get together to practice our trade, to see what's new, re-vamping old ideas, sharing ideas," says Organizer Toto Johnson. "It's an art form and we want the art to grow."

The convention also includes the next generation of clowns - kids under 16 years of age called "Junior Joeys."
