Asphalt overlay work will close 24th Street between Fifth and Ninth avenues starting Tuesday, October 2, 2012.
The work is expected to be completed by Friday, October 5.
While 24th Street will be closed in the work area, eastbound and westbound traffic will continue to be allowed through on Fifth, Seventh and Ninth avenues.
Detour signs will be in place.
