A Quad City teacher is under arrest, charged with breaking into a woman’s home on Sunday night.
Randy Eckert, 63 is formally charged with one count of residential burglary, a felony. Eckert, of Rock Island made his initial appearance in front of a judge on Monday.
He serves as a substitute teacher at several different schools in the Illinois Quad Cities.
As of Tuesday afternoon, he was still in the Rock Island County Jail, on a $50,000 bond.
Court records only state he was arrested by Rock Island police after he allegedly ”entered the dwelling” of a woman with ”intent to commit theft”.
