War broke out in the Quad Cities on Saturday, September 29th. The battleground - Credit Island in Davenport.

That's where the Nerf Wars took place. Players brought their own nerf guns to play a "capture the flag" type game this morning.

The event is organized by Tot Mob, which raises money for children's charities in the community.

"It's pretty important to me because I grew up in the life of just not having anything and I want to take what we can from the community and give it back to kids who really need it," says Russell Maidlow, who organized today's event.

Maidlow says Tot Mob plans to also do something in October to help out with the Student Hunger Drive.
