Bogus bomb threat evacuates Muscatine High School

Muscatine High School was evacuated as a precaution after a bomb threat was reported there Wednesday, September 26, 2012.

Muscatine High School was evacuated as a precaution after a bomb threat was reported there Wednesday, September 26, 2012.

The threat was reported to police at about 12:30 p.m. and the building, at 2705 Cedar Street,  was immediately evacuated.

Police officers, fire department personnel and school administrators searched the building and found “no indication that the threat was credible,” according to Muscatine Police Lt. Jeff Jirak.

Lt. Jirak said students and staff were allowed to return to class at about 1:15 p.m.
