Residents find intruder in their Bettendorf home
Police said they searched a neighborhood before finding a man found accused of burglarizing a Bettendorf home.
Residents called police just before 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 25, 2012 to report an intruder inside their home in the 6000 block of Valley Drive.
Police said 31-year-old Justin Chambers ran from the house when the residents unexpectedly came home.
Chambers was spotted and apprehended by police a short time later nearby, in the 3400 block of Moencks Road.
Police said they planned to pursue burglary, assault while participating in a felony and possession of burglary tools charges against Chambers. They are also investigating whether Chambers has any connection to other burglaries that also happened this month in Bettendorf.
