One man is dead after an early morning car accident in Davenport on Saturday, September 22nd.
It happened around 4:15am in the 400 block of Waverly Road. Police say a car was heading northbound when the driver, 46-year-old Dale Varner, hit a pedestrian, 23-year-old Martin Eason. Eason was pronounced dead at the scene and an autopsy is being scheduled.
Police say alcohol did not appear to be a factor. The accident remains under investigation. No charges have been filed.
