Fire was reported on a semi pulled into the loading dock behind a Davenport, Iowa HyVee store.

The fire was reported just after 2 p.m. at the store at 2351 West Locust Street.

Early reports indicated the fire was confined to the trailer of a semi parked at the loading dock behind the store.  Store employees were working to determine whether any items inside the store were damaged by smoke.

The store was closed after the incident.  A HyVee corporate representative said the store was forced to close Wednesday and would reopen at noon Thursday, September 20.

“Store employees worked in conjunction with health department officials to clean and sanitize the entire store and identify product to be discarded.  All fresh produce and other fresh products throughout the store have been replaced,” said Ruth Comer, Assistant Vice President of Media Relations for HyVee.

No injuries were reported.
