In celebration of their 40th anniversary this year, Happy Joe's has created the Happy Joe's Kids Foundation.

On Sunday, September 17th, more than 50 motorcycles and cars participated in a poker run in Davenport to raise money for the new charity. The foundation will benefit children with special needs.

"I opened the store in 1972 and made a deal with 'the guy upstairs' that if it did well I'd close one day for special needs people, and so I'm not about to break that deal," says Happy Joe Whitty, Owner of Happy Joe's.

The Happy Joe's Kids Foundation is partnering up with the Handicapped Development Center, the Children's Therapy Center of the Quad Cities, and Hand-in-Hand.
