Burlington house fire ruled intentionally set

Investigators said fire that destroyed a rental house in Burlington, Iowa was intentionally set.

The fire was reported just after 3 a.m. Thursday, August 30 at 2251 South 10th Street. 

Firefighters were on the scene for nearly five hours.   No one was home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported.

The rental house was a total loss, valued at $50,000.  The house was insured, but the renter did not have insurance for the contents, valued at $5,000.
