The entire crash at the Quad City Air Show was captured by a spectator shooting video from the ground.
Scott Dearinger from Des Moines, Iowa captured the video and posted it online.
"My Friend Bob and I were at the Quad Cities Air Show and witnessed a fatal crash of a fine pilot and his L-39 Albatross jet. Bob caught the event on his Sony Bloggie and it is very sad and hard to watch- Knowing a good man died trying to please the crowd in rain and winds from leftover Hurricane Isaac," Scott said in his post that accompanies the video.
