A WQAD viewer and his family were at the Quad City Air Show when a plane crashed there Saturday, September 1, 2012.
"Tom" says he and his wife too their children to the air show to celebrate his wife’s birthday.
Tom said witnessing the plane crash “was very tough on our kids.”
He managed to capture a photo of the three Hoppers planes flying in formation moments before the crash. Then he captured video immediately after the plane struck the ground.
