2 charged with murder for Galesburg shooting

Police say they arrested two men in connection with a shooting that killed 38-year-old Terry Allen in Galesburg, Illinois.

Allen was pronounced dead at the scene after the shooting was reported at about 11 p.m. near Mulbery and Pine streets.

His fiancé said she and Allen were planning to buy a home when Allen was killed.

Police said Jereme Carter, 30, of Monmouth, Illinois and Barry Fletcher, 33, of Galesburg are both charged with three counts of first-degree murder. 

Both men were held in the Knox County Jail.  Bond for Carter was set at $1-million and bond for Fletcher was set at $750,000.
