A seven-year-old boy got several tickets after he took his mother’s car and wrecked it over the weekend.

KCRG reports the Cedar Rapids boy had previously tried to take the keys and the car, but this time he managed to drive the vehicle.

He reportedly did it because he wants to move to a different house.

It all happened at around 9 a.m. Saturday, August 25, 2012.  He managed to drive the car about three blocks, bouncing between the curbs and striking a parked car and two trees.

The car overturned on an embankment between a restaurant and a bank.  The boy suffered a bloody lip but was otherwise not hurt.

The boy was cited for driving without a license, failure to maintain control, hit-and-run and no insurance.
