Davenport man stashed stolen guns in Dubuque

A Davenport, Iowa man was sentenced to more than nine years in prison for being a convicted felon in possession of firearms.

A Davenport, Iowa man was sentenced to more than nine years in prison for being a convicted felon in possession of firearms.

Harold Robinson, 27, was sentenced Friday, August 24, 2012 in Federal Court.

Robinson was prohibited from possessing firearms after he was convicted of domestic assault in 2010. 

Investigators said Robinson “possessed several firearms that previously had been stolen in Davenport, Iowa,” between January 21, 2011 and February 10, 2011.  Robinson stored the guns at a home in Dubuque, Iowa.

ATF agents and police seized the guns from the Dubuque home in April 2011.

Robinson previously pleaded guilty to the charge.  He was sentenced to nine years plus two months in prison to be followed by three years of supervised release.
