Kawasaki recalls off-road vehicles

Kawasaki Motors has recalled about 7,000 off-road vehicles made in the United States because they can lose steering and braking.

Kawasaki Motors has recalled about 7,000 off-road vehicles made in the United States because they can lose steering and braking.

The recall includes 2012 Kawasaki Teryx4 4×4 recreation off-road vehicles in styles 750, 750 EPS and 750 EPS LE.  They come in blue, red, green, yellow or camouflage colors and the model name appears on the driver’s side of the hood. 

The steering gear assembly and front brakes can fail in these recalled vehicles.

The recalled vehicles were sold at Kawasaki dealers nationwide between October 2011 and July 2012.  They retailed for just over $13,000.

No injuries had been reported as of the recall announcement date August 22, 2012.
