President Barack Obama made an unscheduled stop at the Iowa State Fair.

The president was already scheduled to make a three-day swing through Iowa but a stop at the state fair was not on his itinerary.  He bought a ticket, ate and met fairgoers a few hours after Republican vice-presidential candidate Paul Ryan appeared at the fair Monday, August 13, 2012.

Obama was at the fair for about an hour.
