Firefighters raising awareness and funding for breast cancer awareness visited the Quad Cities area in pink fire trucks.

The firefighters who man the Pink Heals fire trucks are called “Guardians of the Ribbon”.

They rolled in to our area Tuesday, August 14, 2012 in preparation for events in the Quad Cities planned for August 15.

The Pink Heals truck is scheduled to stop by Gilda’s Club in Davenport between 8:30 and 9:30 a.m. Wednesday and at Faye’s Field, 2850 18th Street in Bettendorf from 3 to 7 p.m.  They’ll make several other stops throughout the Quad Cities during the day Wednesday.

Necker’s Jewelers is donating a portion of all sales made August 6 to 12 to the Quad Cities Pink Heals tour.
