A Burlington, Iowa woman will serve up to ten years in prison after she pleaded guilty to passing forged checks.
Barbara Meaderds, 27, pleaded guilty August 9, 2012 to felony first-degree theft. Muscatine Police said she passed forged checks in their city
Meaderds was sentenced immediately following her plea. She will serve an “indeterminate term not to exceed ten years” according to Muscatine County Attorney Alan Ostergren.
Meaderds was taken to the Iowa Medical and Classification Center in Oakdale to serve her sentence.
