Items returned after alleged shoplifting caught on tape

Police said the items missing after an alleged shoplifter visited a shop in LeClaire, Iowa have been returned.

A surveillance camera captured video July 19, 2012 of a woman Roy McGolvrick says was stealing items he consigned for sale at Big River Antique Mall on North Cody Road.  McGolvrick says a pair of window sill stops and an early-American baby rattle were taken.

Owners of a separate shop in LeClaire said they were missing items after someone they think was the same woman visited their store that same day.

Police said August 6, 2012 they identified the person who took the property and that their investigation was ongoing.  No arrests had been made yet in the case.  The missing property had been returned.
