A 2011 Orion High School graduate has a big few weeks ahead of her before returning to Valparaiso University for her sophomore year:

She's headed to Nairobi to help build a home with Habitat for Humanity

"We're building a house for a family with five kids," Grace Leuck told News 8. "It's a two room house and we're building it from the ground up, starting with the foundation."

Leuck has been active with Habitat for Humanity in the Quad City area for years, even going down to New Orleans to help out three years ago. Up until now, she'd always gone to work with church or youth groups, but this trip is all on her own.

"My grandpa is a carpenter by trade," she said, "so I'm hoping it's genetic, maybe work on my muscles a little bit."

Leuck is paying $4,000 to go on the trip and help-- if you'd like to help defray some of her costs, there's an account set up in her name via any IH Mississippi Valley Credit Union.
