The robbery was reported at about 10 p.m. June 24, 2012 in the 800 block of Fourth Avenue South.  The driver reported being struck in the head with a brick during the robbery.

Police said they arrested 17-year-old Darren Cross Jr. at 11:30 a.m. July 25, 2012.  Cross made his first court appearance for the case July 26, where he was formally charged with one count of first-degree robbery.  The charge is a felony.

A public defender was appointed to represent Cross.  A preliminary hearing in the case was set for August 3.

Cross was held in the Clinton County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bond.
