Two Chicago men were jailed after a drug bust in Sterling, Illinois.

Police say Marshaun Jackson, 23, and Shaquille Jackson, 18, sold a gram of crack cocaine to an undercover officer.

Both men were arrested and charged Friday, July 27, 2012.  They each face one count of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school.  Police said the sale happened less than 1,000 feet from St. Mary’s School in Sterling.

Shaquille Jackson was held in the Whiteside County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bond.  Online records show he was on parole from the Illinois Department of Corrections after he was convicted of a weapons charge in 2011.  His projected discharge date was December 2012.

Marshaun Jackson was held in the Whiteside County Jail in lieu of $200,000 bond.

Both men were scheduled to make their next court appearance August 2.
