Caught on tape: Woman accused of stealing from LeClaire shop

The owner of items for sale at a LeClaire, Iowa shop hopes you can help identify a woman he says stole nearly $1,000 worth of antiques.

The owner of items for sale at a LeClaire, Iowa shop hopes you can help identify a woman he says stole nearly $1,000 worth of antiques.

Roy McGolvrick says he placed items for sale by consignment at Big River Antique Mall, 423 North Cody Road.

Surveillance cameras captured images of what McGolvrick says is a woman stealing some of his consigned items from the store July 19, 2012.  He's hoping someone will recognize the woman shown in the video.

McGolvrick says an early-American baby rattle made of tin with a wood handle was taken.  The rattle measures approximately four inches long by 1.5 inches thick.  He valued it at $100.

He says a pair of yellow ware Rockingham Lion window sill stops, circa 1860s, were also taken.  He valued them at $400 apiece.

McGolvrick asked anyone who can identify the woman to call police.

The owners of a second shop in LeClaire said they are also missing merchandise which disappeared the same day, and that the same woman was in their store that day.  They withheld details of what items were missing from their store.
