A 52-year-old man was jailed after police said the man arranged to meet an undercover detective posing as a child on the internet.

Steven Bentley, of Oelwein, Iowa, was charged Wednesday, July 25, 2012 with enticement of a minor.

Police said Bentley initiated online contact with an undercover detective who was posing as a child.  Bentley arranged to meet the “child” at Sheridan Meadows Park in Eldridge, Iowa.  Police said Bentley intended to meet the child “for a sex act.”
