During a press conference Saturday afternoon, an FBI spokesperson called some of the family members of two missing Iowa girls from Evansdale, outside Waterloo, a hindrance to the case- stating that they have not all been cooperating.

Authorities also say they strongly believe there are people out there who know where the two girls are and are urging those individuals to come forward to police.

The FBI says they continue to receive leads, while investigators say they found new evidence to make them sure the girls were abducted.

They’re not saying what that evidence is or where it was found.

Lyric Cook, 10, and Elizabeth Collins, 8, have been missing since last Friday when they left for a bike ride and never returned home.

A $50,000 reward is being offered for any information leading to the girls’ safe return.
