Police said they found a man by railroad tracks near South Clinton Street after he was apparently struck by a train.

Police were sent to the railroad tracks between Jackson and Cherry Streets at about 2:30 a.m. Saturday, July 14, 2012.

They arrived to find a stopped Union Pacific Train.  Personnel on the train reported they might have hit a pedestrian on the tracks.
