Aledo pair suffered fatal gunshots

Authorities have now confirmed with News 8 that the two bodies found in a burnt Aledo home last Friday, July 6, 2012 were fatally shot prior to the fire.

ALEDO, Ill – Authorities have now confirmed with News 8 that the two bodies found in a burnt Aledo home last Friday, July 6, 2012 were fatally shot prior to the fire.

According to Mercer County Coroner, Ron McNall confirmed with News 8 that Patricia Jo Lindquist and Timothy Meade did not die from smoke inhalation but were dead from gunshot wounds before the fire started.

Detectives say they are still investigating what happened.

Lindquist filed an order of protection against Meade on July 2nd, three days before she died.

Lindquist was the mother of three daughters and an electrician by trade working out of the IBEW Hall in Moline.

A celebration of life service will be held Tuesday afternoon and private burial on Wednesday.
