For the second week in a row, excessive heat pushed organizers to cancel the Bix at 6 training run.
The Bix 7 race committee announced July 3 they would cancel the Bix at 6 and the trials for the “Battle Up Brady” scheduled for Thursday, July 5, 2012. The announcement follows cancellation of the Bix at 6 training run that was scheduled for June 28.
Bix at 6 training runs were scheduled to happen for four consecutive Thursdays before the Bix 7 race.
“Due to the cancellations last Thursday and this week, an extra week has been added to the schedule. There will be scheduled Bix at 6 practice runs and Battle Up Brady trials on July 12th and now July 19th beginning at 6 p.m.,” said a statement from the committee.
