Traffic plan for leaving July 3 Davenport Fireworks

After the fun and fireworks at Red, White and Boom drivers will need extra patience and a plan to exit LeClaire Park Tuesday, July 3, 2012.

City officials issued a map and some basic guidelines for anyone who will drive and park in that area for the festival or fireworks.

“Prepare to follow police officer directions and don’t go around barricades,” said a spokesperson for the City of Davenport.

Pedestrians are advised to cross only at crosswalks, and everyone should park in parking garages if possible.  No parking will be allowed on the grass in Centennial Park.
