The theater at the Putnam Museum is among the first in the world to become affiliated with National Geographic.

The new relationship was announced at a June 29, 2012 event at the museum.

“The Putnam will be among the first Giant Screen Theaters in the world to launch this relationship that promises to attract people to the Quad Cities from around our region,” said a spokesperson for the museum.

The Giant Screen Theater offers special screenings of current and documentary films as well as classic and 3D films.

The Putnam Museum is at 1717 West 12th Street in Davenport, Iowa.
