Police said they found a car overturned and later found the driver and passenger who apparently walked away unharmed.
Whiteside County, Illinois deputies were sent to the intersection of Luther and Fargo roads in rural Tampico at about 3 a.m. Sunday, June 17, 2012.
Deputies found a 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt resting on its top when they arrived. No people were near the wrecked car.
Deputies found the car owner and another passenger at a home in the area.
The driver, 22-year-old Nicholas Zigler of Tampico, was charged with leaving the scene of a property damage accident and failure to reduce speed. The passenger was Simon Moore of Glendale Heights.
Police said neither man was hurt in the wreck.
