Four Arrested In Connection With Rock Island Homicide

Four people were arrested in connection with the discovery of a man’s body along a bike trail in Rock Island, Illinois.

Rock Island Police have arrested four people connected to the death of 51-year-old Alan Porter. The four, who are all in their twenties, were taken into custody late Wednesday night, June 13, 2012.

Investigators say on Monday, June 11th, a bicyclist riding along the bike path between the Centennial and Crescent Brides found a man's body along the trail. Police say the man died of suspicious traumatic injuries and launched a homicide investigation.

On Wednesday, June 13th, Rock Island Police Deputy Chief Jeff VenHuizen said four people are now in jail in relation to the homicide.  Twenty-year-old Ryan Mosher is charged with homicide, while 23-year-old Jessie Martin, 26-year-old Patrick Watts, and 27-year-old Melinda Burkhardt are all charged with concealing a homicidal death.

All four people are from Davenport, Iowa.
