Teens charged in string of Mediapolis burglaries

Two 15-year-olds are charged in connection with a dozen burglaries in Mediapolis, Iowa.

Gas cans were stolen from a dozen addresses in Mediapolis in a span of three days in the end of May 2012.  Read that story – click here.

A spokesperson for the Des Moines County Sheriff’s Office said two juveniles were charged June 11, 2012 in connection with the thefts.

The two teens each face four counts of felony third-degree burglary, two counts of misdemeanor aggravated third-degree burglary and four counts of fifth-degree theft.

Because they are juveniles, we have intentionally omitted their names from this report.
