Band says injury won’t affect Mumford and Sons sold-out show

Folk band Mumford and Sons’ upcoming show in Dixon, Illinois sold out in just eight hours.

Fifteen thousand tickets were available for the August 18, 2012 show.

The band will play outdoors at Page Park.

Dixon is one of four stops on the Mumford and Sons “Gentlemen of the Road” tour.   The Dixon stop is the only camping stop scheduled for the tour, according to the band’s website.

Mumford and Sons announced Tuesday, June 12, 2012 they would cancel upcoming festival appearances in Denmark and Sweden after Marcus Mumford suffered a broken hand in an accident over the weekend. 

No other upcoming shows were expected to be affected.
