Fire investigators are scrambling to find out who is responsible for leaving explosive devices in driveways in Des Moines.

Police there received a report of a Molotov cocktail being thrown at a home on Union Street early Tuesday morning, June 5, 2012.  The burning bottle reportedly bounced off the home and landed in the driveway, leaving a small burn mark on the house.

Emergency crews were sent to a home on North Union Street where another device was found at about 6:30 a.m. Monday, June 11, 2012.

In both cases, the devices were a bottle filled with fuel and a wick, commonly known as a Molotov cocktail.

Anyone who has information is asked to call or text Polk County Crime Stoppers at 223-1400.
