A 36-year-old Davenport, Iowa man was sentenced to more than 15 years in prison for conspiracy to distribute marijuana.
Tyrell Tremier Carr pleaded guilty to the charge in federal court.
Carr was sentenced Friday, June 8, 2012 to 183 months in prison, to be followed by five years of supervised release. He was also ordered to pay $100 to the Crime Victims Fund.
Investigators said Carr was involved in a large-scale marijuana trafficking operation in the Davenport area.
Police said their investigation “ultimately revealed that since 2007 Carr distributed at least 31,000 kilograms of marijuana throughout Davenport.”
That’s equivalent to about 68,343 pounds of marijuana.
