A newly-passed ordinance bans anyone under age 18 from tanning beds in Chicago salons even if they have a parent’s permission to tan.
ABC affiliate WLS-TV reports the ordinance was passed by the Chicago City Council Wednesday, June 6, 2012.
Violators face fines from $100 to $250.
The ordinance is expected to take effect June 16.
